2 SISTERS FOOD GROUP has said it will offer full pay to self-isolating staff as confirmed cases of coronavirus at its Coupar Angus processing plant rise to more than 150.
In total, 138 staff members out of the 1,200-strong workforce (which includes 300 agency workers) have tested positive, with a further 18 positive tests in the community linked with factory workers.

A total of 5,165 people have been tested at sites in Tayside over the last seven days, according to The Courier.
All workers and their households were told to isolate, even if they test negative for the virus.
The council has arranged for more than 700 food parcels to be delivered to isolating households, and 2 Sisters confirmed workers would remain on full pay.
The Coupar Angus factory is scheduled to reopen on 31 August, a spokesperson for the firm said.
“2 Sisters can confirm all colleagues will receive full pay for the period the factory has been closed,” they added.
“We recognise these are unprecedented circumstances which have adversely affected our business and the local community.
“Our company is very aware that the strict self-isolation rules imposed means some households may experience hardship, and we want to do all we can to minimise this.
“The business is keen to support the local NHS teams and their call for whole household self-isolation, and this decision will help to reassure colleagues and hopefully drive further compliance.”
