LALLEMAND ANIMAL NUTRITION has named Hannah Elliott as monogastric technical manager for the UK and Ireland.
The firm said she would bring “experience in many areas of the monogastric sector and in-depth knowledge of nutritional biochemistry and animal nutrition”.
“The pig and poultry sectors are going through a challenging time at the moment,” explained Miss Elliott.
“But both industries are forward-thinking, innovative and always looking for ways to maximise efficiencies and performance, which makes it an exciting industry to work in.”
She highlighted her specific interest in the research and trials Lallemand Animal Nutrition carry out to reinforce product claims.
“There’s increasing demand for more efficient, sustainable food production with a reduced environmental impact throughout the supply chain, and animal nutrition and gut health have an important role to play.
Lallemand is an international producer of bacteria and yeast.
Miss Elliott said: “The monogastric sector has a far better understanding of the importance of gut health now than it ever has before, which has resulted in increasing demand for microbial solutions in this area, which is exciting for us.
“The sector is constantly evolving, there’s always something new to focus on, and we can add a lot of value in this area.”
Lee Gresham, country manager for Lallemand Animal Nutrition, described Miss Elliott as “an incredibly valuable asset to the team”.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what she will achieve in her new role as the agricultural sector as a whole continues to evolve.”
