The deadline for applications is 3 June.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to attend Aviagen’s Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA) Production Management School.
They will be enrolled in either the Breeder Module, which will take place between 28 August and 3 September and one for the Broiler Module scheduled for 27 November to 3 December.
Both modules will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in person.
‘Passion for poultry’
“The goal of the Next-Gen Scholarship is to encourage professionals who are 35 years or younger and have a passion for poultry and an ambition to develop their careers in the industry,” Aviagen said.
“Students have the unique chance to share ideas, knowledge and experiences with School tutors and participants while networking and forming lifelong friendships.
“By meeting attendees from around the globe, they will see the breadth of careers available in poultry and the reward of building a career while making a difference in helping to feed the world.”
After completing the course, participants will be able to keep in touch with other students and tutors by becoming an Aviagen EMEAA School Alumni.
Engagement
Stuart Thomson, head of UK sales & technical at Aviagen, said: “One of our top 5 corporate commitments is ‘Transparency, communication and engagement’, which is in harmony with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal of ‘Quality Education’.”
“The scholarship is one way we put this commitment into practice by engaging with and supporting up-and-coming talent.
“They are our future and the key to sustaining our industry for years to come.”
