THE British Pig & Poultry Fair is back in 2022 after the covid-19 pandemic caused the exhibition’s postponement from May 2020.

Here, we cover what would-be attendees of the fair need to know about the show, and will update this page as more detail becomes available.

How is Poultry.Network involved?

Having launched in early 2020, we have not yet had the opportunity to exhibit at the fair, and we’re really excited to meet readers face-to-face on our stand, number 241 in the poultry hall.

What is the British Pig & Poultry Fair?

The fair usually takes place every two years and is the biggest exhibition in the UK for poultrymeat, egg and pig farmers.

There are typically more than 300 exhibitors at the show, which attracts about 10,000 visitors over the two days that it runs.

Feed compounder ABN has long been the principal sponsor of the show, and is once again this year.

Do I need a ticket?

Yes. Entry is free, but you must register to gain access to the fair. You can do so by clicking on the advert directly below.

When and where is the Pig & Poultry Fair this year?

The fair takes place in 2022 on 10 and 11 May, and returns to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

Entrance is free, but visitors need to book a ticket to gain entry. At the time of writing, registration had not yet opened.

What can poultry producers expect?

The biggest attraction is the chance to view a broad range of exhibitors who have products and services on offer for the poultry sector. Many will choose the fair to launch new products into the market.

It’s possible to catch up with both poultry producers and the wider allied industry in one place over a couple of days.

There are also outlook forums – one for poultrymeat producers, and one for the egg sector (see below for full details.

Both ABN and the British Free Range Egg Producers will host technical forums, as well.

Visitors frequently rate the fair as good value – last time the show ran, 80% of attendees surveyed said they planned to make changes to their business following their visit, and 97% rated the fair as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

Topping the bill, the ever-popular Egg Outlook will give producers the chance to hear what leaders from different parts of the egg supply chain see as the challenges and opportunities ahead. Chaired by Aimee Mahony, NFU Chief Poultry Advisor the Outlook forum will provide valuable insight for everyone in the egg sector.
