A £2,000 training grant is the prize for the winner of the 2021 Zoetis-NFU Poultry Trainee Award now open for entries.
Now in its15th year, the award highlights the opportunities for career progression in a dynamic industry and provides rewards for all finalists, including guest invites to the NFU annual conference in Birmingham.

The award covers all sections of the poultry meat, eggs and game sector.
For the past two years, it has been won by employees in the egg industry – most recently Harriet Smith, who provides advice on nutrition for customers of Crediton Milling.
There is no age limit – the award has been won several times by entrants turning to poultry as a second career – but entries must be received by October 31.
The focus is on how training helps enhance skills and provide the basis for career development.
The judging will again be online, but it is hoped the winner will be announced at an in-person event followed by the traditional award dinner.
The entry form can be downloaded from BHR Communication’s website
