CHESTERFIELD POULTRY has appointed John Kirkpatrick to the new role of director of agriculture.

Formerly Agriculture Manager at Tesco, responsible for poultry and eggs across Asia, South America and Europe, he also sat on the Assured Food Standards (Red Tractor) Poultry Board, representing the British Retail Consortium during his tenure at the retailer, between 2015 and 2023.

Mr Kirkpatrick brings more than two decades of agricultural, technical and commercial experience in poultry and eggs.

He will oversee the agricultural supply chain at Chesterfield Poultry, one of the UK’s fastest-growing poultry producers with multiple production and processing sites.
