NOBLE FOODS has confirmed the appointment of Jerome Saulet in the new role of commercial director.

He will help the firm drive growth across its egg portfolio, the company said, having joined three months ago from fruit and dairy processor Andros UK.

Mr Saulet has worked for several food businesses, including Rank Hovis MacDougall, Unilever and John West Foods.

He has also held account director roles at Premier Foods, working closely with the major multiples such as Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Tesco.

The appointment comes as The Happy Egg Co has hit record sales, now achieving more than £80m in retail sale value for the first time.

Noble Foods Group chief executive Dale Burnett said: “Jerome has settled very well into his role over the past three months, given the complexity that Covid-19 has added.

“He brings with him a wealth of sales and business development experience. He joins us at a time when The Happy Egg Co brand has achieved its highest ever sales level, exceeding the £80m RSV mark for the first time in its 11-year history.

“We’re excited by the plans Jerome has put together to build sustainable growth for this and the rest of our egg portfolio like Purely Organic and Big & Fresh.”

Opportunities

Mr Saulet added: “I joined the business just as Covid19 confined us to our homes and working with the team, we’ve already opened up new avenues of supply, including a partnership with Hello Fresh to supply the brand into their brunch boxes.

“I look forward to helping all Noble Foods brands explore new territories and sales opportunities.”
