With more than 20 years in the poultry industry, ForFarmers said that Mr Atrill “brings a high calibre of knowledge and trusted experience to his new position”.

He will be responsible for working with layer customers from the Midlands and Northern England using his previous experience with poultry, including layers and broilers, to generate new business.

Mr Atrill said: “I’m looking forward to progressing in my role and working collaboratively with other members of the Poultry team at ForFarmers.

“Since starting, I’ve been particularly impressed with the sophisticated and well-organised systems in place, so I’m excited about using these tools to show new customers what ForFarmers has to offer.”

David Hilldrith, UK poultry director, added: “We are thrilled to have James on board. He has held numerous successful roles over 20 years in the industry, and with his knowledge of the Midlands and Northern customer base, we are confident that he will be a great asset to the team.”
