DUTCH INTEGRATOR Plukon Food Group has bought “certain assets” of Belgian poultry business Lammens, which was declared bankrupt in June.
The sale is still subject to permission from the Court of Bruges and other conditions, and
Plukon is said to be considering if, when and how to integrate the site in Torhout with its other activities within Belgium.
Plukon is one of Europe’s largest poultry businesses, with 18 sites spread across five countries employing more than 5,000 people. Its turnover in 2017 was €1.7bn.
