Plukon Food Group is one of the largest poultry processors in Europe, supplying poultry from 18 sites across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Poland.

It processes eight million birds a week.

CFG is mainly focused on the foodservice sector and is a significant supplier of poultrymeat to KFC restaurants across Europe.

Spread their wings

A statement said: “From the sourcing of raw materials, existing logistics channels and available production capacity, the companies will further strengthen each other.

“With Plukon’s production in six European countries and with various chain concepts, both companies believe that this forms a strong joint basis to further spread their wings in Europe.”

The transaction will be subject to competition authority rulings and advice from relevant works councils.
