NOBLE FOODS has named Liam Burke as the managing director of its consumer division, which includes its shell egg, foodservice and agricultural businesses.

He joins the firm following a 33-year career at Kerry Foods, where he most recently spent two years serving as managing director of Private Label Grocery and Meals.

Mr Burke said the past year had been ‘extraordinary’ for the egg sector, with complex challenges.

“I look forward to supporting the business as it continues to deliver growth in key areas, especially within the branded free range and organic segments.

“We are working closely with our retail partners to deliver on their ambitions to move away from caged to offer barn eggs, while helping the foodservice industry with time-saving, practical innovation as it gets back on it feet when lockdown is eased.”

Meet challenges

Duncan Everett, chief executive at Noble Foods, added that Mr Burke would add a “unique perspective” to the business.

“With his extensive experience in the industry, Liam will bring a unique perspective to our business, helping us meet the challenges we are sure to face over the coming months as shopping and consumption habits change dramatically once more.

“What is more, Liam’s honest passion for developing talent within his teams, reflecting Noble Foods’ ethos, makes him a fantastic addition to our senior team as we enter our second century as a business.”
